A- Tailwater by The Dam
Launch site, camp grounds (RV & Primitive) pavilion, small playground, outhouses by the dam, restrooms near boat launch. Grilling locations available. About 12 miles of river to the next public pickup at Bridge 101. Length of float varies by water levels/stream flow & paddling. Generally plan to be on the river all day. It’s a long float. Pack a lunch/snacks/drinks/sunscreen etc.
B- Bridge 101
Public access; pickup and/or launch site. About 4 miles of river to the next public pickup at Martinsville Ford Rd. There’s generally plenty of parking space under the bridge where you can leave your vehicle(s) while you float.
C- Martinsville Ford Rd
Public access; pickup. Parking by river generally available.
You’re able to launch from either points A or B and float to points B and/or C. You’re able to leave a vehicle at either B or C (and A) as to drive back once you get off the river.
