The Barren River Lake Kayak Launch Points near Bob & Yo’s
A- Quarry Road Recreation Area
Large beach & designated swimming area, peninsula & walking trails. Pavilion, small playground, restrooms. Grilling locations available. Kayak in/around swimming area and/or around peninsula and/or along the coastline.
B- Port Oliver Boat Ramp
Hiking & Mountain Biking trails, Amphitheater, bigger playground, pavilion, restrooms. Concrete walking trailing along the shoreline. Kayak along those shore or kayak across the lake to Quarry Road Recreation beach area. NOTE: this is typically a busy boat ramp during the summer and motor boat traffic is to be expected; however many kayakers launch and kayak here also.
C- Casters
Convenient Store. Small restaurant with full breakfast and lunch menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Full fish tackle & bait shop. Right across the street from Port Oliver Boat Ramp. Generally closed Monday’s and Tuesdays. Kitchen generally closes at 3pm. (Hours of operation subject to change)
